There is a cat that has lived alone in basement. This poor cat, abandoned when she was only a few days old, has spent 20 years living in the basement of an apartment building in Hell's Kitchen. Since living with her, no one had tried to give her a proper home.

Her Situation At The Beginning

With her fur falling out due to being bitten by mites, some say that this poor cat looks a lot worse than she did when she first moved into the building.

Many say that finding her looking so miserable and bedraggled puts their happiness at risk, but after seeing the many photos posted on Instagram of how beautifully unhappy this sad cat is.

They can deal with losing their sanity because it is just too wonderful not knowing whether or not cats are capable of feeling sadness because they scream like people dying under torture.

Still, some people believe they aren't so, either way, and it is hard being happy knowing most bad things in life outweigh any good ones and that often one sees problems as being much more enjoyable than solutions.

In the video by The Dodo, you can see a cat trying to make herself comfortable in a dirty, dark, and dingy basement that's not fit for even humans. But how ironic is it that she was clinging on to life all along?

Granny was named after her age, and her old age hardship was now saved from certain death. Her health issues were quite severe and risky, but miraculously she managed to survive there for 20 years without getting any help.

In spite of being in danger of losing Granny, the woman wasn't willing to give up and decided it would be better to take care of her than let her die. Regardless of all of her illness, Granny is going to be okay! She needs a home.

Her Situation Now

Upon first arriving at Granny's new home, she was understandably a little nervous and kept to her room the first couple days she spent in her new surroundings.

However, her new mom understood just how difficult this must be for Granny and was very patient with her until she felt comfortable enough to take a few short walks around the house and explore.

Nowadays, Granny gets lovingly petted every day and found herself happily sleeping close to her owner last night as they both slept soundly through the night.
