Dog Reunited With Family After Hurricane: A Magical Journey!

A pup named Marmaduke escaped from his home and ended up having an epic adventure. 

His neighborhood in Houston was getting heavy rain, but not all of the water had risen to the level of his house yet. The owner left him in the yard to go potty, thinking he'd be fine for just a few minutes since their home wasn't exactly underwater. 

But something unbelievable happened - Marmaduke got over the fence in his backyard (which was about six feet high!) and went for a run as floodwaters started reaching their area.

And things got worse when Diana's home started to flood. She rushed to pack the essentials and get her family out, but by that time, there was little reason to hope Marmaduke would be at her doorstep when she returned.

While Diana's family managed to get themselves and their animals to other places in a timely fashion, they were worried about their dog—Marmaduke. No one had seen him since the incident occurred. Eventually, someone spotted him and took him to the nearby shelter. 

The owners were relieved that Marmaduke was safe, but since there were so many animals being evacuated after the flood, it wasn't clear where he would go or if they would ever see him again.

When the floodwater receded, they returned to the neighborhood and put up posters to find the lost pet. Not long after that, Diana received a phone call saying that they had a rescued dog similar to hers.

The moment they met again made Diana extremely emotional; however, she was relieved to finally have her best friend back after he escaped and went on an "amazing" adventure.

Finally, Diana took Marmaduke into the car with the donated food so that they could all head home. They used to have bags of pet food, but all of them were destroyed in the hurricane. 

Diana's house wasn't spared either, and her car was also damaged due to flooding. While they lost many of their properties in the flood, they managed to hold on to their beloved, goofy pup.
